/24-7PressRelease/ - FREDERICK, MD, March 21, 2007 - Da Silveira's fantasy novel begins in 2003 with Augustus on death row. This is the story of how and when he was created and made immortal by Ziusudra in Rome 68 AD while Nero led the Roman Empire 200 years before the Coliseum was built. Augustus' story takes place all over the universe, all over time. At this moment we find him unafraid of his pending "death by execution" as he knows he'll be back again.
Apart from Augustus and Julia, every character in the book lived in historical reality or Greek mythology. Following the main protagonists Augustus and Ziusudra, readers will travel back in time to the beginning of all, discovering mystic cities, dead civilizations, gods and goddesses, and encounter great philosophers such as Plato and Socrates, before finally meeting God and the souls who have been waiting for all eternity to rejoin with him.
Da Silveira was born in 1965 in a tiny jungle village in Mozambique on the vast and agitated African continent to a celebrated Portuguese rejoneador (bullfighter) and the daughter of one of the leaders of the French Resistance in Provence. As his father was in Africa fighting in the Mozambican Liberation War, Da Silveira spent the first years of his life shuttling between Africa and France, then Portugal and France, ultimately settling with his mother in Marseille. The work of Jose Da Silveira, a writer and painter, has been widely celebrated, particularly in Europe, and he has been called a true innovator and one of the most influential artists of the twenty-first century.
