FULLERTON, CA, September 05, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Haven Gastropub will officially open its doors to the public Friday, September 4, making it the first gastropub in N. Orange County. In the tradition of the gastropubs of London known for great food and drink, Haven will offer an extraordinary cultural dining experience creating what is sure to be a hotspot for foodies and pub-crawlers alike.

Located in the heart of Old Towne Orange, Haven brings a distinct blend of old world style and warmth to an area known for its charm and rich history. The opening will coincide with the city's popular Orange International Street Fair, held each year during Labor Day Weekend.

The vision of managing partners Jeff Hall and Wil Dee, Haven's culinary comforts will be prepared entirely from scratch and served in a soothing setting of cobblestone, copper, candles and woodworking that maintains a modern appeal with an old world feel.

The menu will feature a palate-pleasing variety of treasured dishes from across the pond, as well as stateside staples crafted into unique contemporary classics by Le Cordon Bleu trained Executive Chef Greg Daniels. Each dish will be prepared using farm-to-table-fresh ingredients that far transcends typical pub grub. Affordably priced with entrees in the $10-$20 range, offerings will include a wide array of gastro pleasures from Corned Beef Sliders with garlic aioli and warm cabbage slaw to the signature Hangar Steak, pan seared with a Cabernet demi-glaze spiked with Mexican chocolate and cayenne pepper. Braised Bone-In Short Ribs are equally delicious, served with garlic carrot puree, and on the lighter side, guests will delight in a Tossed Frenchman Salad with fresh field greens, grilled asparagus, beets, and goat cheese tossed in a dill vinaigrette. Those who save room for dessert will want to try the decadently rich Irish Car Bomb dessert with Bailey's Irish Cream infused chocolate cake with house-made Guinness ice cream and Jameson Irish whiskey caramel sauce.

Paired to elevate and compliment your overall dining experience, handcrafted microbrews and Belgian beers will pour along side a distinct selection of boutique wine and of course, single malt Scotch and whiskey. Guests will have the option to dine at comfortable mid-level tables, as well as intimate booth seating, surrounded by cobblestone covered walls and rich dark woods. The mood is further punctuated with rustic candle lit wrought-iron chandeliers, and partially exposed open ceilings, as well as the undeniably relaxing aura of an open fireplace. Guests may also cozy up to the 40-foot bar where they'll find libations abound, including no less than 14 handcrafted beers on regularly rotating taps. One particular unique feature of the bar top is its two very distinctive bulbous corners that jut out at either end. The feature allows a few extra seats at the corners and provides more intimate face-to-face conversation. Sports fans will pay particular attention to a pair of 50-inch plasma screens within an impressively handsome back bar made of rich dark woods and supported by copper pillars. Patrons will be kept aware of daily drink and food specials posted on a large built-in chalkboard at the side of the bar.

It all adds up to a proud revival of the public houses of old, promising an entirely new dining and late night experience. "Every seat is an immediate invitation to our family and we can't wait to serve you," said Hall, making note of his staff's warm hospitality and attention to detail.

Haven Gastropub is open daily for lunch and dinner, as well as late night. Hours of operation are 11am to 2am seven days a week. Haven Gastropub is located at 190 South Glassell Street, Old Towne Orange, CA. 714.221.0680 / havengastropub.com
