Forgotten Angels Kicking Office Spring Break With "Wheels & Waves" Event: Featuring Fish-Out, Hot Corvettes, Games and A Drawing For A Deluxe Golf Car At Pearland Town Center

    PEARLAND, TX, March 04, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- There will be something for everyone at "Wheels & Waves", a spring break kickoff event being held at Pearland Town Center, March 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Main events include a drawing for a Custom Deluxe Golf Car benefiting Forgotten Angels, fishing activities for kids, a classic Corvette auto show, art & craft booths, inflatables, food vendors, and live entertainment by Nash 3 and other local bands. Event parking will be on the south side of Town Center near the lakes. Admission is free.

Forgotten Angels, a Pearland-based non-profit organization dedicated to the care of adults with developmental disabilities, is selling tickets for two grand prizes.

The grand prize is a 4-passenger, electric golf car that can be driven on city streets with speed limits of 35 mph or less. The deluxe golf car features custom paint, striped seats, enclosed dash, black metal trim, flip back seat, retractable seat belts, lift kit, headlights, tail & brake lights, horn, blinkers, tinted folding windshield and cool chrome D.O.T. tires. M.A.P. Golf Cart Services based in Pearland built the golf car for Forgotten Angels. The second grand prize is a $500 shopping spree at Pearland Town Center.

The first event of the day will be a Fish-Out for kids starting at 10:00 a.m. Fishing experts from Sports Authority will be on hand to help youngsters bait, cast and hook their fish. The lakes at Pearland Town Center were stocked with fish before it opened in 2008. Anglers (children and adults) should bring poles, tackle and a cooler for their catch. A limited number of poles and tackle will be available for loan.

More than 50 Corvettes and other classic automobiles will be on display behind the pavilion at Town Center. Cars will be judged for best of show and other categories by visitors.

"Wheels & Waves" sponsors include Pearland Town Center, Texas 288 Newcomer Magazine, M.A.P. Golf Car Services, Sports Authority, Frost Bank, Absolute Restoration & Remodeling and Corvette Owners of Houston.
