Former Field Technician Files Putative Collective Action Overtime Case Against XG Security Services, LLC

The complaint alleges that the company shorted its field technicians by paying them for overtime hours at a "straight time" hourly rate.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, May 11, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A former employee of XG Security Services, LLC filed a lawsuit on May 5, 2017, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana alleging violations of federal overtime laws. The named plaintiff, a former field technician, brought his claim individually and on behalf of similarly situated employees who worked for XG Security Services, LLC.

The Complaint, filed as a Fair Labor Standards Act collective action, alleges that XG Security Systems, LLC, did not pay its field technicians an overtime premium of one and one-half (1.5) times their regular hourly rate for all overtime hours worked over forty (40) per week. Instead, the Complaint alleges that the company shorted its field technicians by paying them for overtime hours at a "straight time" hourly rate. The named plaintiff, and those similarly situated, seek unpaid overtime wages and double damages.
