What is Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis?
Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis is a sophisticated means of understanding the person as a whole and provides insight into patients according to their constitution, previous illnesses, stressors from their environment, traumas, emotional conditions, behavioral patterns, etc.
"My lineage of Chinese medicine incorporates different concepts not included in other styles of the medicine; this increases the tools at my disposal to heal people," Rosen said. "We are diagnosing the root causes for people's symptoms. We can look at someone's pulse and then understand the causes of the patient's illness(es) and/or symptoms, know their lifestyle and [even] their early life history."
What makes Rosen different from others?
"Like most acupuncturists, we treat pain, but our major focus is internal medicine," said Rosen, "and even most pain has roots in internal imbalances." "This requires significant diagnostics to discover the root of someone's problems. Pulse Diagnosis is the major tool to determine what the root causes are, including organ imbalances, immunological and mental-emotional root causes."
