- Perkinston, MS, April 27, 2008, Frances J. Davis, Instructor and Registered Nurse of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, has been recognized by
Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of nursing.
Ms. Davis has 22 years of experience in pediatric and psychiatric nursing. She excels in medical, surgical and neonatal nursing procedures and pediatric instruction. Her greatest professional accomplishment was watching her students graduate from an associate nursery program. She stays current with the trends in her profession by reading nursing-related journals.
Ms. Davis earned her Master of Science in Adult Health Nursing, with Honors, in 2004 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with Honors, in 1990 from The University of Southern Mississippi. She also earned an Associate of Science in Nursing from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, with Honors, in 1985 and is pursuing a Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing at the University of Southern Mississippi. Ms. Davis has received the Elizabeth C. Harkins Award for outstanding scholarship, leadership and service to her community. She was a delegate for the Mississippi Nurses Association.
