Frances Price Gboizo Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who

Frances Price Gboizo reflects on 32 years in the field of education

NEWARK, NJ, March 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Frances Price Gboizo, Retired Teacher for the New York State Education Department, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in primary education.

Inspired to enter her profession by her passion for working with children, Ms. Gboizo has 32 years of experience in the field of education. As a teacher, she was responsible for developing curriculum, promoting inquisitive minds and teaching pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade students and children with disabilities. She attributes her success to her hard work, patience, dedication and never-give-up attitude.

Ms. Gboizo earned a Master of Science in Education from the The City University of New York in 1985. She has been recognized for her work with the 7-Day Adventure Award from Newark Now, the Spirit of Newark Award (2005), the Community Service Award from Berean 7-Day Adventist Church and the Power 15 Award. She participated in the Greater Newark Conservancy Annual Garden Contest and was named among Newark, New Jersey's Most Influential Grassroot Leaders in 2006. She also received the Health Ministry Departmental Award from 7-Day Adventist Church and the Super Neighborhood Community Award from Newark Now.

Professional organizations with which she is affiliated include the Alumni Association of the City College, the National Retired Teachers Association, New Hope Baptist Church's Women's Ministry, the Fleetwood Tri Block Association, the Ivy Hill Neighborhood Association, the Super Neighborhood Community Association and the Newark Now Association.

Looking ahead, Ms. Gboizo hopes to continue volunteering. Since her retirement, she has realized the importance of volunteering and community activism including fighting for the rights of seniors and other populations in need of assistance.
