LAKE MARY, FL, November 26, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Frank Joseph Lorentzen, Retired Chief Staff Officer for East Asia Division of the United States Navy Munitions Command, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of national defense.
With 27 years of professional military experience, Mr. Lorentzen's areas of expertise are in contracting as well as personnel and supply chain management. Prior to his retirement, he led, managed, mentored and trained a large, diverse workforce in logistics and process improvements. Dedication, perseverance and a desire to serve his country were the driving forces behind his many years of success. He considers promotion to commander and serving as Director of Contracts and Chief Staff Officer to be his most rewarding accomplishments during his tenure in the military. During his retirement ceremony in June 2008, Mr. Lorentzen received six certificates including an End-of-Tour Award - Meritorious Service Medal signed by Vice Admiral M.G. Williams Jr. for the President of the United States and Mr. Lorentzen considers the receipt of these awards to be the highlight of his career.
A certified Department of Defense Acquisition Professional, Mr. Lorentzen received a Master's Degree in Military Studies from the Air War College and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Troy University. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and is a member of the Defense Contract Management Agency. In the future, he aspires to become an executive level manager of logistics.
