CATONSVILLE, MD, November 10, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fred C. Gilmer, Author, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in creative writing.
After retiring from long-haul truck driving, Mr. Gilmer was left with a desire to share his rich life experiences with others. He thus embarked on a second career as a writer in 2004. An avid writer of verse, he recently published "Random Thoughts of a Simple Mind," a collection of poems each made up of no more than 20 words. Alternately funny, serious and downright silly, the poems are open to a wide range of interpretations.
Mr. Gilmer looks forward to completing and publishing two more books, one a work of fiction and the other, a second volume of poems. He attributes his success to the support that he received from his parents.
