Free Books Program from the Canadian Center of Science and Education

Open Access Journal Publisher Offers Free Books to Researchers Worldwide

TORONTO, ON, October 30, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Canadian Center of Science and Education (CCSE) is a private organization that is dedicated to helping educators and researchers in Canada and the world. Established in 2006, it is an open access journal publisher that offers scholarly journals from different academic fields. Through these electronic and printed journals, the organization offers peer-reviewed research to entities across the world. CCSE also offers a number of programs like educational programs, financial support for researchers, and scientific publications. One program that has received much praise is the Free Books Program.

About the Free Books Program

This program from the Canadian Center of Science and Education is offered by the organization's library. Through the Free Books program, research based libraries in developing countries can get their hands on a number of valuable resources for free. The CCSE will even pay for delivery. However, you should complete and submit the application form to [email protected]. Applications will be processed and books will be sent on first come, first serve basis.

What Books Are Available

If the Free Books program intrigues you, you should first check a list of the available books through the Library page. There, you can download a document listing each book's name, description, status, availability and recipient. The recipient column is a very helpful addition on CCSE's behalf; even if you don't get the resource you need, you can contact its recipient and request for it.

Currently, CCSE has over 30 publications which cover a number of fields like finance, health, marketing, art, retail and politics. Some titles that are available by the time of this article's publication are:

Adult Education and Health, which is edited by Leona M. English and published by the University of Toronto Press in 2012.

The Role of Labor Standards in Development: From Theory to Sustainable Practice, which is edited by Tonia Novitz and David Mangan and published by Oxford University Press in 2011

The United States and India: A History Through Archives (The Later Years Volume 1 & Volume 2), which is edited by Praveen K. Chaudhry and Marta Vanduzer-Snow and published by Sage Publications Limited in 2011.

However, due to the high demand of these resources, there is always a chance that they may not be available when you check for them. Therefore, make sure to head to the CCSE's official website and put your application through.

The Free Books program is one of the best efforts the Canadian Center of Science and Education has pulled so far. It shows the organization's strong sense of responsibility. It also flaunts the serious publisher's enthusiasm for public welfare undertaking. Therefore, if your research based library requires a few valuable additions that it can't afford, consider checking what the organization has to offer and applying quickly before you miss out.
