The panel will be moderated by acclaimed novelist Rosemary Poole-Carter, whose recent release Women of Magdalene, explores the mistreatment, misogyny and racism of patients at a women's mental asylum just after the Civil War.

Karen Harrington is the author of Janeology, a novel that centers on the aftermath of one Texas mother who murdered her own child.
