SAN FRANCISCO, CA, June 05, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On Thursday, June 3, Full Circle Fund's Executive Director/CEO Amy Lesnick was inducted into the San Francisco Business Times' "Forever Influential Honor Roll," a first-class index of outstanding women leaders who have made sustained and widespread contributions to the Bay Area business community. This is the third year Ms. Lesnick has been honored by this group, having been named a member of the Bay Area's Most Influential Women in Business in both 2008 and 2009. The San Francisco Business Times has presented this annual recognition for more than a decade, honoring the most accomplished and dynamic women in business, including those leading nonprofit or public agencies.

Ms. Lesnick holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and has over 20 years of leadership experience in business and nonprofits. In addition to her leadership at Full Circle Fund, she most recently took on the role of co-lecturer for the undergraduate Economics of Philanthropy course at the Center for Nonprofit and Public Leadership at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, inspiring a new generation of philanthropists to learn how to leverage the power of their time, talent, and resources.

Since joining Full Circle Fund as Executive Director in 2005, Ms. Lesnick has used her drive, enthusiasm, and strong connections in business and community to lead the organization through a high growth period. Under her leadership Full Circle Fund launched a new Environment/Energy Circle with Vice President Al Gore and is now reaching beyond the Bay Area with a new Global Economic Opportunity Circle, launched in November 2008 with Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus. Under Ms. Lesnick's direction, Full Circle Fund also grew from around 30 members to over 180 inspired young leaders who are now leveraging their skills to make a difference. The organization also diversified its funding streams, increased its budget nearly tenfold, and secured new strategic partnerships to ensure its long-term sustainability.

An avid explorer, Ms. Lesnick has traveled to more than 74 countries and hiked mountains around the globe, including Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Mt. Rinjani in Indonesia, the Inca Trail in Peru, Patagonia, Mongolia, and the Everest region of Nepal. She has also volunteered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, HandsOn Bay Area, the Junior League, and is also on the Steering Committee of the Jefferson Awards, and the National Conference for Volunteering and Service. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Virgance.com and Grameen America's Leadership Council.

Full Circle Fund is an engaged philanthropy organization cultivating the next generation of community leaders and driving lasting social change in the Bay Area. Full Circle Fund members leverage their time, money, skills and connections to the service of nonprofits, businesses and government agencies in partnerships that result in significant impact on the community.
