Motivated by her own childhood experiences in Davenport, Ms. Aguilar decided to devote her career to assisting children and families. Since then, she has honed her skills in assisting people in positive growth and development. She completed her Master of Social Work, with a concentration in Clinical Studies, at Loyola University, from which she graduated with a 3.4 GPA, and her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Spanish at St. Ambrose University. In the course of her career, Ms. Aguilar has been involved in various nonprofit organizations and has participated in programs for troubled children. She considers being able to make a positive difference in the lives of others to be the most rewarding aspect of her career, and attributes her success to her family's support.

Ms. Aguilar is affiliated with the Illinois Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. She is currently pursuing her social work license and has recently applied for a position with an adoption agency in Illinois. Her plans for the future include establishing her own private practice, specializing in mental health and developing strategies for effective nonprofit management.
