YORK, ENGLAND, October 31, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gamestation, the fast growing UK video and computer game retailer, has predicted that the soon-to-released Gears of War 2 video game will be the biggest selling Xbox 360 game of the year. The third person tactical action game from Epic Games and Microsoft Studios has been eagerly awaited since the original Gears of War was released in 2006.

In Gears of War 2, the Locust has found a way to make giant emergence holes capable of destroying entire cities at once. The game joins Marcus Fenix and the rest of the COG Delta Squad as they now begin drilling underground to "take the fight to the Locust".

To celebrate the launch of Gears of War 2 on Xbox 360, Gamestation has created a special "Gears of War 2 Section" where customers can buy Gears of War action figures, T-shirts, baseball caps and the game itself, in either the standard version or the Limited Edition Gears of War.

The limited edition version of Gears of War 2 comes with a variety of added features including "Beneath the Suraface: An Inside Look at Gears of War 2", a 48 page, hardbound book featuring character profiles, exclusive concept art and a foreword by Design Director, Cliff Bleszinski. Also included is a bonus DVD containing exclusive footage of the making of the game, design galleries with audio commentary by Epic Games and promotional videos. The limited edition version of Gears of War 2 also includes an Xbox Live code that allows users to unlock a gold plated Lancer Assault Rifle for online play.

The official Gears of War Strategy Guide will also be available at Gamestation and customers will also be able to order their copy of the game with a Gears of War action figure 4-pack included. The original Gears of War figure box set is also still available.

Gears of War 2 will be available from the 7th of November.
