Garden City Police Department to Host National Night Out On August 4th
Garden City National Night Out. This first annual event, which is free and open to the public, will include representatives from local law enforcement agencies, the Coast Guard, Hunter Army Airfield and Fort Stewart.

    SAVANNAH, GA, August 02, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- WHAT: Garden City National Night Out. This first annual event, which is free and open to the public, will include representatives from local law enforcement agencies, the Coast Guard, Hunter Army Airfield and Fort Stewart. Highlights include a concert with rising pop singer and songwriter Briana Waldorf as well as games and K9 unit dog demonstrations. Free hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided by the Garden City Police Department. Members of the media are welcome to attend.

WHERE: The old Gaster Lumber building located at Hwy 21 and Smith Avenue

Garden City, Georgia

WHEN: Tuesday, August 4, 2009, 5 - 8 p.m.

INTERVIEWS: Police Chief David Lyons will be available for additional comments the night of the event.


ABOUT NATIONAL NIGHT OUT: National Night Out 2008 involved 37 million people in 15,449 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide. This year-long community building campaign is designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
