/24-7PressRelease/ -- Geeks On Site had its first annual Bring Your Child to Work Day on Friday, June 25, 2010. Parents were able to bring their children to the office for a day of learning about the company, the various functions of each department, and the responsibilities of individual positions.
Geeks On Site Operations Manager, Erica Kirschbaum, explained the agenda for the day, while the kids had breakfast and colored pictures with Justin Bieber as background music. They then visited each of the company's eight departments one by one, and were told about the various functions of the 60 staff member-strong call center and administrative facilities. The group then headed off to KFC for lunch and some time in the park. Afterwards the children got to meet with company owner and president George Otte to discuss what they had learned in the course of the day.
Strong family ties are important for the Geeks On Site team. Mr. Otte feels it is important to give the children an inside glimpse of how their parents spend their days. At the same time, the children got a little break from their daily routine, and the Geeks On Site staff had an amusing diversion from their day to day operations in the office! The inauguration of what Geeks On Site will make an annual event was wildly successful and the company looks forward to many more "Bring Your Child to Work" days in the future.
