A buyer from Nordstrom immediately took interest in her designs and within six months Applestar grew to a full accessory line and eventually sold in Nordstrom stores across the country. After tenure at W magazine and launching two successful accessories companies, Vazquez has quickly become known as a quotable fashion expert. Her friendly and approachable commentary gained popularity among women with small budgets and those with little or no knowledge of fashion.
