Georgia CPAs Prepare for CPA Day at the Gold Dome

Over 200 CPAs will gather at the Gold Dome to speak with legislators about the latest issues affecting the profession.

ATLANTA, GA, January 29, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Over 200 Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) from across Georgia prepare to meet on January 29 for the 2015 CPA Day at the Gold Dome. On this day, individual CPAs, members of CPA firms and accounting students will gather for the fourth annual CPA Day. Hosted by The Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA), this exciting event is a symbol of the genuine commitment CPAs have to share their thoughts and perspectives on important issues facing the CPA profession with Georgia's legislators.

No matter what area of the accounting profession each CPA member has chosen, or what stage of their career they may be in, CPA Day places all accounting professionals in a position to offer their elected officials valuable input and expertise on the issues that they face. The last time the event was held, it was met with incredible attendance -- over 150 participants. Organizers hope this year's CPA Day at the Gold Dome surpasses prior attendance records.

"The Georgia Society of CPAs launched CPA Day at the Gold Dome because CPAs offer a unique and intelligent perspective, and events like this make a very real connection between the profession and Georgia's legislators. GSCPA members take seriously the issues that impact the CPA profession, the clients and employers they serve and the state of Georgia at large," said Boyd Search, CEO of The Georgia Society of CPAs.

GSCPA hopes this event will continue to build awareness of the CPA profession. Every day CPAs serve their communities by acting as trusted business advisors to companies and individuals; CPA Day at the Gold Dome allows these same professionals to act as a valuable resource to the Georgia General Assembly.
