EAU CLAIRE, WI, September 14, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Realityworks, Inc., the leader in education simulation technology, received adoption for a number of its programs by the Georgia Department of Education. The adoption certifications are valid until June of 2017.

The Georgia Department of Education's health and physical education adoptions include Realityworks RealCare Program with Basic Infant Care Curriculum and ySTART smoking prevention program. The RealCare program includes an intensive, comprehensive curriculum that is used in conjunction with state-of-the-art infant simulators. The infant simulators provide a realistic hands-on experience of caring for a newborn infant. The ySTART program is paired with the firm's proprietary Prevent Pak simulators to teach students the effects of tobacco addiction and help them build refusal skills. Both the RealCare and ySTART programs can be used in grades 9-12 under the adoptions.

In addition, Realityworks TimeMAPS Money Management and Life Skills Program gained adoption in the Social Studies-Economics area for grades 9-12. TimeMAPS is a software program for personal finance that provides 13 comprehensive financial literacy themes and includes more than 50 lessons and over 140 interactive exercises. TimeMAPs also includes a comprehensive curriculum resource for educators and an online testing environment for all lesson areas.

"We are thrilled to add the Georgia Department of Education to our growing list of state adoptions," said Timmothy Boettcher, president of Realityworks. "The adoption opens more doors for schools to bring truly interactive programs into the classroom and provide them with true-to-life lessons that help them make the best choices for their futures."

With the adoption, the firm's products are on the Georgia Department of Education 2010 State Recommended Learning Resources list. Schools may purchase products from the recommended list using state textbook funds to buy a program of their choice or use local funds to buy any program as they see fit. The adoptions are valid for all schools in the state of Georgia.
