Gerald Bernstein Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in the Transportation Industry

    SAN FRANCISCO, CA, January 13, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gerald Bernstein has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As Management Consultant and Researcher with more than four decades of combined experience, Mr. Bernstein has extensive expertise in transportation and alternative fuels. Since 1998, he has served as Managing Director of the Stanford Transportation Group, a consultancy providing customized solutions in the areas of aircraft business strategies, aviation services, automobiles and alternative energy. Mr. Bernstein's expertise was developed through progressively responsible roles at New York State's Department of Transportation, North Kennebec Regional Planning Commission, SRI International and BACK Management Services. At SRI he was Director of the Transportation, Environmental and Manufacturing Department and was Vice President (Consulting) at BACK. In recognition of his professional excellence, Mr. Bernstein was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in Finance and Business, Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West and Who's Who in the World.

Mr. Bernstein has pursued the personal goal of improving the build environment through the appropriate use of technology in both his education and career. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1969 and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Stanford University in 1978. Professionally, in addition to the positions previously cited, he has been an active member of National Research Council's Transportation Research Board for whom he chaired numerous conferences and workshops, co-authored reports, and for multiple terms served as Chairman of the Aviation Economics and Forecasting Subcommittee. He has published articles on a variety of aviation and renewable energy themes in print and on-line media. Beyond these professional activities, he has served on Boards and as Officer of numerous community organizations. Looking ahead, Mr. Bernstein intends to increase his writing activity supporting the executive influence of the Stanford Transportation Group.
