QUEBEC, Canada, February 13, 2009
/Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Consultant Germain Denis has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of his services to business over the years.
Until recently, Mr. Denis worked in the public sector furthering a more open and fairer business and trade environment domestically and internationally. As Executive Director of the International Grains Council, he has sought to enhance stability and transparency in commercial and non-commercial food and feed grain markets and the food security of developing countries. His professional expertise and experience are available to serve the business community.
Mr. Denis feels that his most outstanding accomplishment was making significant and lasting contributions in support of free trade within North America and globally. "I was instrumental in the establishment of the World Trade Organization (WTO) as an institutional anchor to support an open, fair and stable trading framework essential for growth and the realization of sustainable development opportunities," he explains. "I have always been interested in better understanding the great trends and forces shaping society. I tend to be motivated primarily by a sense of what's right and fair in the public interest, naturally leaning toward supporting peace, freedom and solidarity. I normally look for solutions offering hopes and better opportunity for the realization of human development potential and positive contribution in society rather than some illusory short-term status quo."
He holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the Universite Laval in Canada and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Sherbrooke in Canada. He is a member of the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association, the World Trade Law Association and the African Presidential Archives and Research Center at Boston University. Recently, he has been contributing to Laval and Sherbrooke Universities as well as hospital and cancer society foundations and museums within his community. He also sponsors the education of two children in Haiti.
His plans for the future include building upon his experience and professional abilities. He is interested in continuing to contribute toward improving global governance, furthering more open and fairer international markets, and enhancing food security to support peace and sustainable development in developing countries in the world.
