Since 1981, Dr. Grenier has served as a professor of economics at the prestigious University of Ottawa. He has conducted research and published papers in labour economics. Dr. Grenier has been a full professor since 1995. He was twice the chair of that department, from 1985 to 1989 and from 1998 to 2002. With more than 35 years of professional experience, Dr. Grenier shines as a luminary in his field. He feels that he has been able to thrive professionally due to sheer hard work and a keen ability to supervise his students.

Dr. Grenier earned a Bachelor of Arts from Universite Laval, and went on to receive a Master of Arts from the University of Ottawa, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University. As a student, he found great interest in social issues and policies; this prompted him to follow his current career path. Dr. Grenier is currently a member of the American Economic Association and the Canadian Economics Association. He enjoys biking and traveling in his spare time.
