Ginger Simpson Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional & Entrepreneurial Registry

Ms. Simpson's creative output has been unstoppable.

CASTALIAN SPRINGS, TN, September 26, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ginger Simpson, Author, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in romance fiction.

Upon retiring from academia, Ms. Simpson decided to devote her energies to writing. Her literary career began unceremoniously enough: at her kitchen table with her laptop open in front of her, she started to tell herself a story, inspired by the historical romances she had read over the years. This later bore fruit in her debut novel; published in 2003, "Prairie Peace" received a four-star review in Romantic Times magazine. Since then, Ms. Simpson's creative output has been unstoppable—her favorably received first novel has been followed by five more novels and five novellas, all published by small press. Covering the genres of historical romance, time travel, romantic suspense and humorous shorts, many of these works have been nominated for awards and have been listed under "best reads of the year" on popular romance sites.

Prior to becoming an author, Ms. Simpson worked in academia, eventually retiring from the University of California with the position of undergraduate academic counselor and graduate program liaison. In her 23-year career in education, she acquired a mastery of the effective management of most student-related issues, which included approving admissions, processing forms, monitoring academic progress, and recommending actions for the Dean's initiation. Additionally, she served UC as a unit diversity and sexual harassment officer. For her, the most rewarding aspect of her career in academia was being instrumental in assisting hundreds of students obtain university degrees, an opportunity that she had never had herself. Ms. Simpson attributes her success to her self-motivation and her pride in her own abilities, two traits that prompted her to make the most of self-improvement courses offered to university staff.

Ms. Simpson is a former member of the National Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals and the National Association of Foreign Student Advisors. As a novelist, she joined various promotional loops such as Bebo, Bookplace, Bookface, Good Reads, Shelfari, Communati, and Facebook. Besides her own website and blog, she is also an active user of MySpace. Ms. Simpson has released two new books this year with another set for release shortly. Her goals for the future include finding a larger audience for her work by achieving mainstream publishing.
