ACF Car Finance Ltd's leading branches is gearing up for what could prove to be a record-breaking 2009 for the business!
With the reduction in the number of specialist
car finance providers in the market place, and the growing impact of the credit crunch on consumers, more families and individuals are expected to find themselves turning to ACF Car Finance in the coming months.
Branch Manager Helen Wilson and Sales Manager Tammy Wittekind lead the 11-strong team at Isleworth in Middlesex, one of eight used car sales branches in the ACF Car Finance network which is currently receiving three stock deliveries a week.
"It's such a fast-changing picture out there," said Helen. "There's no doubt that many people will be facing some tough challenges, and that there'll be an increase in demand for ACF's quality used cars and tailored finance."
The company recently reported record business conversions for nine consecutive months. The average approval to sale conversion increasing by a staggering 7.5%.
The
Isleworth branch relocated in August last year and currently operates from a temporary 4,900 square foot site at Clocktower Industrial Estate whilst work continues on a purpose-designed showroom and sales facility adjoining the current operation, due to be completed later this year.
Helen, originally from Hull, joined the Isleworth branch in 1997 as a Sales Executive. "I was working as a hairdresser and looking for a new challenge when I spotted the advert for the job in the national press and applied - against my father's better judgment."
"He told me I'd never be happy or successful in sales, so I was determined to prove him wrong!" said Helen. "And I did!"
Helen was promoted to Sales Manager at Isleworth and was soon providing training support at other branches. Within three years of joining the business, she was appointed to her first managerial role at the old ACF Fareham branch, becoming Branch Manager at the age of just 27. She took the Branch Manager's role at Isleworth in 2001.
The change in service standards and customer expectations over the last few years has been remarkable, according to Helen.
"Whilst total transparency and customer focus are the qualities that now underpin our proposition, customers themselves have become a great deal more discerning and demanding, and the choice and quality of vehicles, and the range of finance options that we offer have never been greater."
"We're continuing to meet a growing demand for all types of vehicles, and that regularly includes prestige marques."
She added: "Many of our customers are clearly grateful for the opportunity we create for them to secure a good quality car to support their employment and family life. That's one of the great things about the job."
Sales Manager Tammy Wittekind agrees. "We've got a great mix of customers coming into the branch and no two days are ever the same here at Isleworth."
