ARLINGTON, VA, June 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Give Life Foundation, a non-profit organization that surfaced to confront the chronic need for blood in the U.S. and to encourage people to make donations that could save lives, is launching its first full scale Web site this spring.

The new site will act as the foundation's main tool for increasing public awareness and collecting donations. People will be able to make monetary donations online, organize their own fundraising programs through the new Web site, and recruit more supporters by joining the Give Life host committee. It will provide news and updates on upcoming donation and fundraiser events.

Established as a more interactive and community-oriented approach to solving a national dilemma, Give Life organizes events and activities that increase awareness of the mounting need for blood donations. The foundation works in collaboration with other organizations that collect and distribute blood and organ donations, including America's Blood Centers, the Marrow Foundation, United Network for Organ Sharing and the National Marrow Donor Program.

The Give Life Foundation is also the parent sponsor for Team Life, which participates in The Race Across America, the world's most recognized and longest endurance annual cycling event.

The Give Life Foundation established to increase the awareness of the chronic shortage of the U.S. blood supply and encourage the donation of blood, blood products, organs and tissues. For more information, contact Team Give Life at 703.528.4669 or by email at bruce@teamgivelife.org.
