Glen A.V. Beache Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Tourism & Public Relations

    KINGSTOWN, ST. VINCENT & THE GRENADINES, March 14, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Glen Beache, Chief Executive Officer of the SVG Tourism Authority, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in tourism and public relations.

Mr. Beache has devoted himself to the marketing and public relations of St. Vincent of the Grenadines, a beautiful multi-nation island located in the Caribbean Sea. The islands are known for offering luxury accomodations, gorgeous beaches, rainforest eco-adventures, various water sports and diverse cultural traditions. As the CEO of the SVG Tourism Authority, Mr. Beache ensures that the standards of the organization are upheld. He also manages tourism and investments in the country.

Mr. Beache attributes his success in this role to his hard work, patience and willingness to learn. Possessing excellent communication skills and a great presence, he has established a reputation for being honest, loyal and an excellent team player who remains focused on his objectives.

From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Beache was the Minister of Tourism in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He played the leading role in the establishment of the Tourism Authority, a significant initiative that has enhanced the role of tourism as a critical sector of the country's economy. A former national athlete, he drew from his expertise and discipline to provide effective leadership as Minister of Youth and Sports when it was part of the portfolio of the Ministry of Tourism.

Prior to this, Mr. Beache was a senator and junior minister of the country's Ministry of Transport, Works and Housing from 2003 to 2005. He also served as the Ministry of Tourism's marketing manager from 2002 to 2003. Mr. Beache's professional history includes a stint as a junior political consultant for the KMT political party of Taiwan in the 2000 election, as well as experience as a junior political consultant with the Al Gore presidential campaign. In 1998, he worked with Lazlo and Associates in Washington, DC.

Mr. Beache holds a master's degree in public policy and administration, specializing in health and educational policy, from the University of London. He also earned degree in political science with a minor in mass communication from Carleton University and a degree in public relations with a minor in marketing from Humber College and York University. Furthermore, Mr. Beache holds a certificate in Mandarin from the University of Taipei.

Mr. Beach was born on September 26, 1970 in Toronto, Canada. He is married to Dr. Simone Keizer-Beache and is the father of two children. Looking toward the future, Mr. Beache intends to gain more experience in his field and travel to more destinations.
