BARNAUL, RUSSIA, November 06, 2009
/24-7PressRelease/ -- PAVA, Russian major producer of flour, cereals and animal feed, will diversify into deep wheat processing and increase its yearly capacities to approximately 900,000 MT of grain. For consolidation of the new businesses the company has set up a daughter holding GlobalAgro. Currently, the three milling branches of the company - Rebrikha, Mikhailovsky and Achinsk plants - process up to 400,000 tonnes per year.
The project was taken up in 2008, and is designed as extension of the flour mill in Rebrikha and installation of new, up-to-date facilities for manufacturing VWG, starches, syrups and other products. Launch of the new plant will be accompanied by development of farming activities, to support the surge in capacity by increased grain output.
Company managers believe that the project will benefit from the worldwide trends on the food market. "We have identified a sharp rise in demand for high-margin ingredients, particularly for gluten which is one of the fastest growing segments", said Andrey Ananin, PAVA Managing Director. "But we also expect to gain more presence as a manufacturer of flour, substantially relying on export operations".
