"God's Gift." A heart-wrenching memoir!
There are several memoirs that have been penned, which have gained spectacular favor with the public.

/24-7PressRelease/ - February 03, 2007 - "Angela's Ashes," written by Frank McCourt is such a one and tells a riveting tale of the harsh struggles his family was forced to endure in a Limerick slum of the 1930's.

"The Liar's Club" by Mary Carr is another. It gained wide popularity making the New York Times bestseller list for over a year and delves vividly and often humorously into her deeply troubled 1960s childhood, most of which was spent in a gritty, industrial section of East Texas.

Mario S. Fedele has written his own memoir and now attempts to make a mark, as well. His efforts do not concentrate on the detailed analysis of a particular lifestyle but rather center on the accounting of the medical difficulties his son, Shaun, was afflicted with. Though the hardships the family had to endure were grueling, they somehow managed to work through them.

In "God's Gift," Mr. Fedele has written a wonderful tribute to his son. Because it is quite wrenching at times, to provide comedic reprieve, it comes replete with a sprinkling of humor.

The events are related in vignette style with short, concise chapters, allowing the reader to break away from the story at opportune moments.

By reading about the family's trials and tribulations, there are many areas in which the reader will gain valuable insights, such as behavior modification, temper tantrums, dietary concerns, convulsions, night-bottle syndrome, Reye's syndrome and Stickler's syndrome, to name a few.

Mr. Fedele "retired" in 1985 at the age of 38. He started writing then and recently had two young adult novels published titled, "Stories for a Stormy Night, Vol. 1 & II," which have received rave reviews. Some have even compared his writing to that of JK Rowling. "Mr. Fedele, you are as talented as JK Rowling!" (Tessie Chapman.)

"God's Gift" is a first time attempt at non-fiction for Mr. Fedele. It is a much anticipated work, and people who've read sample chapters have assigned it high praise. "This is so good, I love it! I can't wait to see what happens next. It doesn't matter if Mr. Fedele is writing fiction or non fiction his stories just flow and melt together keeping the reader on edge waiting for the next segment!" (Vicki P. Bowman)
