Gourmet Coffee Suppliers, J. Martinez, Offer Tips for Salvaging Coffee Once it has Gone Cold

Coffee doesn't have to go to waste just because it has gotten cold, explains J. Martinez & Company.

NORCROSS, GA, July 24, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- If your morning cup of gourmet coffee has gone cold, you may think it's a waste. After all, you just aren't going to get that same fresh-brewed taste by sticking it in the microwave. However, J. Martinez & Company Fine Coffees thinks that pouring it out is a terrible idea; especially when there is so much you can do with your cold coffee to salvage it!

The experts at J. Martinez & Company believe that one of the best ways to salvage your old specialty coffee is to turn it into iced coffee. While it may not taste tops when it's lukewarm, coffee tastes amazing when it's cold. Simply pour your cold coffee into a tall cup and refrigerate it until it's very cold. Add a few ice cubes and enjoy!

If you want to amp up your iced coffee, use your gourmet specialty coffee leftovers to create coffee ice cubes. Pour the old coffee into an ice cube tray and freeze it. When frozen, use the ice cubes in your iced coffee to avoid watering down the coffee flavor. You can also use coffee ice cubes in other drinks as well.

If you want to spice things up a bit, J. Martinez & Company recommends using old coffee to make milkshakes and other blended drinks. Coffee improves the taste of chocolate, so try a chocolate milkshake. If you want to go a bit more adult with your frozen drink, try adding cold estate coffee to a Mudslide for an extra coffee kick.
