NICE, FRANCE, December 14, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/
-- When the business first started in 2007 Gourmet Deliveries
were supplying the chefs on the yachts that came into port with high quality fruit and vegetables. The varieties of cuisine were limited. Today the business has expanded and Gourmet Deliveries now supplies an extensive range and variety of ingredients and beverages.
"It is important now that major food trends have to be taken into consideration: free range grass fed beef, organic chicken and eggs, line caught fish, farm produced butter and cheese, gluten free and organic ingredients," says Angelique Tinarelli of Gourmet Deliveries.
Time was that you may have thought that it was only high living on the superyachts with rich food and flowing alcohol. But today's superyacht owners are much more concerned about incorporating healthy living and their top chefs are likely to serve up delicious organic fresh juice after early morning yoga.
Cut flower arrangements are also increasing in popularity to create the right ambiance on board. "Our flower arrangement business is steadily growing and we even supply fresh flowers to locations as far afield as the Maldives," says Gabi Gruber of Gourmet Deliveries.
Smoked salmon, oysters and caviar are still favourite superyacht supplies
along with champagne and vintage wines but there is also a growing popularity for Asian specialty foods in 2013.
"With today's modern communications and our extensive team of very experienced buyers and extremely efficient delivery drivers, it makes it possible to go into the markets and source the very best gourmet provisions
that a head chef is looking for. If needed and requested we can also fly orders out to the superyacht directly by seaplane," explains Gabi Gruber.
With demanding superyacht owners employing world class chefs Gourmet Deliveries supply the best of ingredients whatever the request maybe and are of one the French Riviera's leading gourmet provisions
