NEW YORK, NY, January 11, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A bittersweet moment for Chef Day and her family, as this labor of love was produced by two family chefs: herself, the Pastry Chef, and her brother Dale, the Culinary Chef. Sadly he was taken away in a hit-and-run accident on Good Friday of 2013.

Hawaii Cupcake Factory claims Tribeca, Manhattan as home with plans to make its name standout amongst other well-known restaurants such as Nobu and the Tribeca Grill, known for celebrity sightings. With planned renovations to include an elaborately designed gourmet cupcake bakery to house more than 35 of their 75 exotic flavors of cupcakes daily inside the restaurant, upgraded decorative lighting and Hawaiian themed decor to create a more upscale fine dining atmosphere, sure to defunct the present decor of the pizzeria.
The restaurant was conceived by Chef Day whose love of baking sent her back to culinary school at the "delicate" age of 40. Chef wanted to enhance her knowledge of flavor combinations and learn the science of ingredients; she studied for her degree in Patisserie & Baking for more than 730 days at the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Academy. With more than 12 years in the industry from serving and preparing meals in assisted living to being a part of the recreation of hospital menus, transforming boring distasteful dishes to those found in fine dining restaurants.
"Hawaii Cupcake Factory serves up more than just gourmet cupcakes, our modern recreation of Caribbean and American cuisine will definitely be a palate pleaser for all ages," says Chef Dayva, the owner. With exotic dishes from her childhood days in the Caribbean met with American cuisine from her husband's childhood down south merged into modern cuisines that will be sure to please and tantalize the senses. "Not just another cupcake store", but a truly upscale fine dining restaurant with more than 75 flavors of cupcakes, such as their famous Memphis, a banana cupcake with peanut butter cream cheese frosting and chocolate dipped bacon. Want something spicy? Then reach for Caliente, a romance between chocolate cupcakes with raspberry compote topped off with chipotle buttercream. Indulge your senses with one of Chef's favorite: the Chicken Relleno, loosely described to be the Caribbean version of Turducken, this delicate dish is created with lean ground beef stuffed chicken, baked tender, and placed in a black soup broth fused with spices such as bay leaves, fire roasted tomatoes and bell peppers, plated with hard boiled eggs and fire roasted corn tortillas. Feeling for a BBQ like no other? Then you've got to try their BBQ ribs (can be substituted by chicken) served with homemade flour tortillas, house BBQ beans, and Caribbean potato salad, a must have! Other items range from flatbread pizzas, a fan favorite is the flatbread lobster pizza, powder bun burgers; this burger has a unique semi-sweet bread made by Chef a sure delight, traditional old-fashioned savory steak served with a red wine sauce, or even brunch with chicken and waffles.
