NEW YORK, NY, November 19, 2009 /
Stanford Who's Who/ -- Byron Eugene Lewis has been accepted by Stanford Who's Who for his vision, devotion and courage in the Advertising Industry. As the Founder and CEO of Uniworld Group he has paved the way and raised the bar in the area of multi-cultural marketing for the past 40 years.
Lewis began his career working for African American newspapers and magazines in Harlem, NY in the 1960's. That background combined with his life experience and his Bachelor Of Arts in Journalism that he achieved at Long Island University provided him with the perspective to create Uniworld Group which he founded in 1969.
Forty years later the company offers a myriad of services which includes brand development, interactive media, traditional advertising and guerilla marketing. Uniworld employs one hundred fifty people at three offices in New York, Atlanta, Georgia and Dearborn, Michigan with a staff that is proudly as culturally diverse as society itself.
Considering that African Americans and Latinos made up only 16% of the population at the time of the company's inception, the idea of marketing to these groups was considered a major risk. This did not discourage Byron from aggressively launching this venture which is now the longest standing multi-cultural marketing and advertising agency in the country.
Uniworld has been granted some of the largest advertising assignments ever allocated to an ethnic agency including the
Three Musketeers candy bar general market account which they have held since 1995. Lewis has also led breakthrough campaigns for the Ford and Lincoln divisions of Ford Motor Company.
Byron is also an FRMR Board Member, a member of the Apollo Theatre Board Foundation and a Long Island University Trustee.
