One of more than 150 top Internet Marketers participating in the event, Mr. Dillman indicated that the Organizer and Keynote speaker, Mr. Byron Walker, hosted a dynamic event, providing valuable training and an inspirational message for all in attendance. "With the economy still reeling from last years mortgage and stock market crash there has been an explosion of growth in the home business industry." Event organizer, Byron Walker, spent many years as a real estate investor. In August of 2008, after witnessing the markets worst down turn in many decades, Mr. Walker started into On-line marketing. Wanting to share his knowledge of the Internet Marketing industry with others, Mr. Walker put together this conference and promoted it on-line using the very techniques he is now teaching others.
Some of the topics discussed at the event included the process of using Pay Per Click methods of advertising or PPC where the marketer pays an established price every time someone "clicks" on a predetermined "key word" or phrase. As explained in the presentation, PPC can be a very effective way to reach a highly targeted market, yet, if not implemented properly, it can also become an expensive way to market on-line.
Other topics of study included Search Engine Optimization (SEO), the new and growing trend which utilizes social mediums such as Face-book, Twitter, and Linkedin to drive traffic to a website, and Web or email marketing techniques. During the conference the group was encouraged to split up into smaller sub-groups to further examine each of these forms of on-line marketing. Conference participants were also encourage to network amongst themselves, sharing there own experiences and business models with one another. Mitchell Dillman indicated that he was able to meet several other on-line entrepreneurs who also had similar businesses focused on environmentally friendly products.
