Grey Nun Academy Seventh Grade Students Win First and Second Place in Area Math Competition Held at Holy Ghost Prep

GNA Students Take First Place in Both Team and Individual Categories



    YARDLEY, PA, March 20, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Grey Nun Academy (GNA), Bucks County's preeminent private, Catholic elementary school announced today that its four-person team of seventh grade students took first and second place at Holy Ghost Preparatory High School's mathematics competition held on March 14 (pi day).

GNA students Praveen Rodrigo, Zaiya Gandhi, Louie DeLuna, and Kelly Rothenberg were awarded first place in the team competition. Individually, Zaiya Ganghi took first place out of the 7th grade girls and Praveen Rodrigo earned second place for 7th grade boys.

"We are incredibly proud of our team of seventh graders who participated in this competition," said Mr. John Mundy, Principal at Grey Nun Academy. "We love to see our GNA students achieving at the highest levels as they ready themselves for the academic rigors of high school, college, and beyond. They brought home the win for Grey Nun and we celebrate their victory and offer our warmest congratulations."

Approximately 150 sixth and seventh graders from area schools gathered at Holy Ghost Prep High School to compete in the mathematics competition. All were asked to complete three individual tests comprised of arithmetic, geometric and algebraic concepts. Students were tested both individually and as teams covering all material.
