GTN's 3rd Annual Beards for Busy Season

This years BFBS FUNrazor is teaming up with the Grameen Foundation. We will be collecting donations to support the Grameen Foundation's goal of helping people achieve economic empowerment.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, March 14, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Today Global Tax Network (GTN) announced the launch of the annual Beards for Busy Season (BFBS) Campaign to help raise awareness and monetary support for an international nonprofit organization. The GTN BFBS Campaign will run through April 18, 2016, which represents the Internal Revenue Service's tax filing deadline in the U.S. All GTN employees and friends of the firm will have the opportunity to participate in this event.

This year's BFBS FUNrazor is teaming up with the Grameen Foundation www.grameenfoundation.org. The Grameen Foundation, a GTN client, is a global nonprofit that helps the world's poorest people reach their full potential by providing access to essential financial services and information on agriculture and health. They also develop tools to improve the effectiveness of poverty-focused organizations.

"We are very excited to partner with one of our clients for our campaign this year," said Marsha Thomson, a Tax Manager with GTN. "The Grameen Foundation conducts impactful work throughout the world and we are happy to have connected with them on this initiative during our tax compliance busy season."

Supporters of BFBS will obtain donations during the campaign period while growing their 'beards.' Male participants will attempt to maintain the best beard possible for the duration of the event and female participants can grow a virtual beard using an online app.

"BFBS is a great way to keep things light and fun in the office while still finding a way for all of us to give back to the community," stated Joey Wikoff, a Tax Senior with GTN. "We get to laugh with each other, having a little bit of fun while in the midst of serving our clients."

While our specialty is mobility tax consulting and compliance, our story is a little different than the average tax accountant because our business thrives on the adventures of our clients. We work with globetrotters, world travelers, and international businessmen and women. Our mission is to support their journey by handling the intricacies of the complex tax situations that may arise during their adventures. You could say we are able to take on what might seem like the weight of the mobility tax world for our clients and make it a little less intimidating.
