Haspel & McLeod, P.C. is a law firm that concentrates on family law cases such as those involving divorce, custody, alimony, child support and modifications. The office also helps clients with other issues such as same-sex divorce.
Ms. McLeod has several years of experience in the legal profession, including 25 years as an attorney, co-founder and partner of Haspel & McLeod, P.C. In addition to representing clients in family law cases, she advocates for children's rights. Among the highlights of her career include getting top results for her clients so they can move forward in their lives.
Known as a hard worker and a zealous advocate for her clients, Ms. McLeod attributes her success to her compassion for others and her ability to help clients during extremely difficult times in their lives. She became involved in her profession by completing an internship for her mentor, who is now her law partner, who was practicing in family law.
Ms. McLeod received her JD degree from Duquesne University School of Law and a bachelor's degree in English from St. Mary's College of Maryland. She is also trained in mediation and collaborative law. She was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliations with the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association, the DC Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association, the Frederick County Bar Association, she was a participant of the Commission on Child Custody Decision-Making Court Processes Committee and the Women's Bar Association. Honored for her work, Ms. McLeod was selected as a Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers Magazine and rated as an AV Preeminent Attorney by Martindale-Hubbell.
