Habibo Haji Releases Her New Book, "Conquering the Odds: Turn Your Valley Into a Mountain Top"

    ROCHESTER, NY, March 25, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Habibo Haji is a former shepherd girl and nomad in Somalia, turned registered nurse and business owner. She is an inspirational speaker and coach.

According to Habibo, "A lot of times we carry our past failures and disappointments into our present and future. In her book, "Conquering the Odds: Turn Your Valley Into a Mountain Top" she shared her journey which started she was four year old shepherd girl herding over 150 goats and sheep. When she was seven she graduated to being a nomad and faced many struggles such as malaria, starvation, depression, sexual and physical abuse. She lived in the largest refugee camp Dadaab Kenya. Growing in a primitive and nomadic life Habibo never had the opportunity to attend school. She put herself through school for the first time at age of 22.

Habibo graduated from Augsburg College with a Bachelor in nursing and is now a Registered Nurse at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
