/24-7PressRelease/ - QUEENS, NY, May 02, 2008 — Hands-On Health Wholistic Centers announces the grand opening of Acupuncture for Veterans, a low-cost clinic for veterans and their families, at its Kew Gardens location on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place that day at 10a.m.
"Our new clinic aims to serve those who have served our nation so well - veterans of war, those who have put their lives on the line for our country," says Michael Gaeta, Director of Hands-On Health & Founder of Acupuncture for Veterans. "Our appreciation for their sacrifices is more than can be said, but here we can provide real assistance, relief and comfort using the ancient healing art of acupuncture."
For those who have experienced trauma, acupuncture is a proven treatment that aids in healing, promotes pain relief, lessens post-traumatic stress, encourages relaxation, and restores strength, vitality and peace. Acupuncture treatment also provides care for the caregivers - helping families better support their loved ones. Veterans and their families will be treated in a group setting by appointment. Fees will be on a sliding scale basis. "The group treatment model allows us to make it an effective low-cost option for vets and their families, says Gaeta. "And we hope to receive donations, which will make it possible for us to provide free treatments."
The Clinic is located at 119-40 Metropolitan Avenue, Concourse 102, in Kew Gardens, Queens. It will be open Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10a.m. - 2p.m. and 3a.m.- 7p.m. for veterans, and Wednesdays from 11a.m.- 3 p.m. for families. To make an appointment or a donation, please call 718-847-7278.

Michael Gaeta holds New York licenses in acupuncture, nutrition and massage therapy. He received his Master's degree from the New York College of Health Professions, where he was a faculty member for 10 years. In 1990, he founded Hands-On Health Wholistic Health Centers, a group practice with three locations in New York. Mr. Gaeta is a past president of the Acupuncture Society of New York.
