Harvey Jay Levin, PhD, Named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who's Who

    NEW CASTLE, NH, July 31, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to name Harvey Jay Levin, PhD, a Lifetime Achiever. An accomplished listee, Mr. Levin celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As an auctioneer, developer, and financial specialist for over 58 years, Mr. Levin has often been featured as a guest speaker with law schools, and in newspapers and television in New York and Boston. He established his expertise on building financial institutions early in his career, from homes to financial institutions to the auctioneering of residential and commercial real estate. Mr. Levin presently serves as president of Harv Levin, Inc. (Auctioneers), the Hazel Dell Limited Partnership, and the Wentworth By the Sea Harborview Homeowners Association.

He was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts in 1936. He graduated from Worcester Academy in 1953, and studied in the prestigious schools of Brandeis University, Boston University and Harvard University. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served for two years in Germany. He earned a BBA in finance with the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He founded and served as President of the Central Tool Warehouse Co. in Leominster, Massachusetts and served in the role though 1966, when he became General Manager of Great Northern Homes (specializing in the manufacture of vacation homes). He earned a Master's degree in economics from the Whittemore School at the University of New Hampshire in 1970, and went on to Spacemakers in Canton, Massachusetts, serving as director of marketing and sales. Mr. Levin also served as Vice President of Shelter Resources Homes serving 22 southern states. While in the south he was named Honorary Lieutenant Colonel Aide-de-Camp by the governor of Alabama. He also served as a consultant with Republic Homes of Truro Canada.

In 1973, Mr. Levin accepted a position of Vice President of sales with New England Homes in Biddeford, Maine. He also served periodically with the Abe Levin and Company auctioneering firm specializing in commercial real estate auctions spanning a period of 25 years. The elder Mr. Levin was subsequently inducted into the Massachusetts Auctioneer's Hall of Fame in 2007.

Mr. Levin made a transition from the solidity of real estate to the conceptual realm of finance in 1974, when he joined Bank Building Corporation in St. Louis as the Northeast Consultant Service Manager. Over the years, he has completed over 200 bank building projects, consisting of designing, building and furnishing of financial institutions. Mr. Levin joined Financial Concepts in Natick, Massachusetts in 1980 and later launched Harv Levin Inc. and American Bank Design and Credit Union Building Corporation. He has designed and presented numerous personal and professional growth seminars for his plethora of appearances, and successfully conducted thousands of auction sales in real estate and inventory liquidations. As a real estate professional, he has built over 1000 residential homes.

In 1996, Mr. Levin earned a PhD, summa cum laude, in Philosophy in Business Management from LaSalle University, capping off an award-winning career across several disciplines. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including an Outstanding Sales Achievement Award and a 50-year membership award from the Masons. Mr. Levin has been presented with a 1972 Best Marketing and Sales Plan Award by the Automation in Housing Association, a 1976 Honor Award and a 1977 First Place Design Award from the Bank Building Corporation of America, as well as a USDA Housing Award for Best Elderly Housing Project in the US in 1986.

Mr. Levin is a lifetime member of the National Auctioneers Association, as well as a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (he holds a commercial pilot's license). He is a member of the Wentworth By the Sea Country Club in Rye, NH, and was a member of the River Club in Kennebunkport, Maine, the Portsmouth Power Squadron, Hampton River Boat Club, Phi Sigma Kappa, and the Skyhaven Flying Club.

He earned and holds currently the AARE (Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate) and CAI (Certified Auction Institution) designations. He currently holds an auctioneers license and Real Estate Broker's license in six states. He is proud of his philanthropic auctioneering for the Boston Children's Hospital, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, March of Dimes, the National Parks Association, National Parkinson's Foundation and numerous church and civic charity auctions. For his generous volunteerism and cross-disciplinary excellence, Mr. Levin was selected for inclusion in numerous volumes of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who in the World.
