PHOENIX, AZ, December 20, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This piece of legislation was aim at reducing animal overpopulation by hamstringing so called "puppy mills." It was a measure that Hastings & Hastings fully supported. Responsible breeding and responsible adoption help to keep pet populations under control. Hastings & Hastings stands by an actions which keep such a noble goal in mind.

In November, the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control organization held its Fall Festival Adoption event. It was an incredible and memorable day for pet lovers across the Valley of the Sun. MCACC, which typically cares for approximately 800 cats and dogs, need to open up room in its shelters. To that end, the organization held the adoption festival, which meet with massive success.

Those who came to the Fall Festival at the East Valley Animal Care Center in Mesa has the chance to visit with hundreds of friendly, fuzzy friends. Cats and dogs were everywhere. So were smiles and snuggles. Individuals who fell in love with a kitten were encouraged do adopt for a fee of just $20. Dogs of any age were also available for adoption at radically discounted fees. MCACC provided a free microchip for each animal sent home with a new family.

Hastings & Hastings was delighted to see how many animals were adopted during the 6 hour event. Not only did families have the opportunity to bring home a new friend, they also enjoyed music, kid's games, and pet product giveaways.

Maricopa County Animal Care and Control's Fall Festival encouraged responsible pet adoption and educated on pet ownership. It once again demonstrated why Arizona is a national leader in terms of animal rights. Hastings & Hastings is proud to serve in such a progressive, positive, and influential state.

"Events like this show what an incredible city we live in. Everyone who came out seemed to care so much for this cause. When Phoenicians are passionate about something, they are really passionate. With how many adoptions took place today, I would think the MCACC would call this a massive success," said David Hastings, founder of Hastings and Hastings.
