/24-7PressRelease/ -- Hawthorne Gospel Church is planning a special service to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11 on Sunday, September 11, 2011, at 6 p.m. The service will have a three-fold purpose: to remember those who lost their lives, to honor those who served so heroically, and to thank those who continue to serve unselfishly as leaders and first responders in our local communities.
A display of emergency response equipment will be assembled in the church's parking lot before the service for the community to view. Town leaders, police officers, firemen/women, and ambulance corpsmen/women in uniform from the surrounding communities, as well as first responders and paramedics from our local hospitals, will be in attendance.
Many families within our local community have been deeply affected by the attacks on 9/11 and this service will be commemorating the historic event. Join us at 6 p.m. on September 11. Light refreshments will be provided after the service.
