HealeyGrisham partners with Dallas Animal Services to promote Spay and Neuter Campaign

HealeyGrisham, Dallas commercial photography studio has partnered with Dallas Animal Services to promote the DAS Spay and Neuter program.

/24-7PressRelease/ - DALLAS, TX, February 22, 2006 - In an attempt to save lives and improve pet population statistics, HealeyGrisham offered to contribute their time, photography services and funding to this worthy cause. The Dallas Animal Services Spay and Neuter campaign allows citizens that may not be able to afford to spay or neuter their pets, the opportunity to have the procedure done free of charge. Coupons available at the Dallas Animal Services are redeemable at a variety of area veterinary facilities throughout the city.

The City of Dallas estimates expenditures of over $4,000,000 a year to control pet population. Over 35,000 animals a year are brought into area shelters, and approximately 25,000 a year are subjected to euthanasia.

"We're animal lovers, and it just breaks my heart that there are so many unwanted animals in our city," said Janet Healey partner of HealeyGrisham. "Joe and I simply want to do something to help, something to make a difference. Donating some of our pet images, and production costs to promote the campaign on the side of our building, was a perfect opportunity for us to support this awesome spay and neuter campaign. We get lots of commuters that pass by on a daily basis, so we hope to reach a broad demographical audience, one that will potentially view the message on an almost daily basis to or from work."

The two over size banners, at nearly 150 square feet each, display Joe Grisham's pet images in a larger than life fashion and will be exhibited throughout 2006. One image displays a portrait of a Boston Terrier wearing a hat and sporty bandana around his neck, with the text, "To a girl dog, he's good looking. Dogs will be dogs. Humans should be humane." The other banner displays a rear view image of two Jack Russell Terriers sitting in a red wagon, that's been decorated for a newly wed couple. The dogs are dressed in formal tuxedo and wedding gown, one dog looking forward and the other dog looking back at the camera with the text reading, "She will be unfaithful. Dogs will be dogs. Humans should be humane." Both banners will be produced in both English and Spanish languages, and banner displays will be rotated throughout 2006, with an unveiling ceremony scheduled for February 23rd.

"I'm really pleased with the way these banners turned out," said photographer Joe Grisham of HealeyGrisham. "We're excited to contribute to this worthy cause, and hope that other area companies will follow suit. If we all work together we can make a lasting difference in the control of pet overpopulation."
