/24-7PressRelease/ - September 10, 2006 - The national Spanish-language health magazine Medico de Familia ("Family Doctor") is being readied for a January 2007 launch as a joint venture between the Interamerican College of Physicians and Surgeons (ICPS) and Parlante Inc. This publication fills a glaring void in U.S. Hispanic consumer media market by offering health content that focuses on specific Hispanic health concerns.
As its title implies, Medico de Familia's articles are written by ICPS-member doctors whose everyday experiences give them insight into the needs and concerns of the Hispanic patient. An editorial calendar rich in themes that make up the unique health profile of the Hispanic demographic will make for compelling content for the consumer. By reading the publication in their doctor's waiting room, consumers will be encouraged to consider their own health needs as well as those of their loved ones.
An initial qualified monthly circulation of 60,000 will be distributed AT over 20,000 medical clinics located in the major Hispanic DMA's. Health, Pharmaceutical, Lifestyle and other likeminded products and services will finally have a powerful print medium to deliver their advertising, marketing and branding strategies.
