BOISE, ID, October 02, 2013 HealthCast Inc. announces that T-System has selected HealthCast's enhanced sign-on solution as the preferred access solution for T-System's new EV release. With the integration of HealthCast's enhanced sign-on, T-System continues to redefine emergency care through better technology. Adding HealthCast's unique proximity badge functionality to bring fast, secure, and automated sign-on will help ED staff access patient information more quickly in EV to provide better patient care.

With the integrated solution, ED staff members can log in, secure, or automate fast-user switching to their EV session and patient information in seconds with the simple tap of a proximity badge. HealthCast's Enhanced Sign-On eliminates redundant sign-in and sign-out steps, adding convenience and speed while reinforcing security.

"HealthCast's focus and deep experience is in developing solutions for fast, secure, access to patient information to support the mission-critical needs of physicians and nurses. Efficient emergency room workflow is a top priority," said Joan Mehn, CEO, HealthCast. "We are pleased to team with T-System, the nation's leader in ED EHR technology, to provide an end-to-end solution for emergency departments that streamlines workflow while it improves security to support HIPAA compliance."

"One of the unique strengths of a best-of-breed ED vendor is the ability to discern which capabilities are truly relevant to workflow and care delivery for our clients and quickly incorporate them into our solutions. The delivery of the new HealthCast enhancement is just one more example of that strength. In addition to solving for regulatory challenges such as ICD-10 and Meaningful Use, we are excited to be able to offer other new capabilities that will enhance care quality and efficiency," said Mark Pilarski, vice president of solutions management and development at T-System.
