OAKVILLE, ON, August 14, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/
-- Direct-to-home retailer Healthwick Canada has announced the opening of the Healthwick Incontinence Product Learning Centre for Canadians managing incontinence. The Learning Centre offers one-on-one and group education sessions for consumers who wish to learn more about wearable adult incontinence products, including briefs (also known as adult diapers), underwear, pads, underpads and skin care/hygiene products. Visitors can enjoy a complimentary and confidential consultation with a Healthwick Product Specialist then choose up to 5 free samples of incontinence products for them or a loved one to try in the privacy of their home.
The Learning Centre was the vision of Sean Neville, CEO of Healthwick, to build on the company's goal of providing knowledge, products and service that can be relied on by the estimated 3 million Canadians who experience incontinence.
"We're proud to carry Canada's largest selection of incontinence products, but the options can be overwhelming," continues Neville, "That's why we launched the Learning Centre, along with our Free Sample Program, so customers can touch, feel, and examine the different products before making an educated decision about what will work best for them or their loved one."
The Learning Centre includes displays of some of Healthwick's most popular products, as well as absorbency demonstrations in a confidential setting. Healthwick's Product Specialists are men and women who have been trained by the manufacturers to provide compassionate and practical advice on product fit and features.
"It's very difficult for consumers to find the right products in local pharmacies and big box stores," says Neville, "You're presented with a limited range of options and sizes, and you're forced to buy an entire package just to try anything. Consumers get frustrated, and they feel they're wasting time and money."
Healthwick carries over 500 products in sizes XS to XXXL, from top retail brands such as Depend, TENA, and Prevail, as well as institutional and premium brands that are hard to find in stores, including Attends, Abena, Tranquility, MoliCare, FitRight and Presto.
"Our goal is really to educate consumers and give them the confidence that they can find a great product that will let them carry on their normal daily activities," says Sharron Jones, Marketing Director of Healthwick, "In the future, we'll be expanding the Learning Centre to include online consultations for customers outside the Halton region, and product videos including absorbency tests so people can really see the differences between the products, even if they can't make it to the Healthwick office."
Customers in the Halton and Greater Toronto Area can book a visit to the Learning Centre and request a confidential consultation by calling 1-877-775-6656 or visiting www.healthwick.ca/LearningCentre
