/24-7PressRelease/ -- Former University of Florida star and Heisman Trophy Winner Danny Wuerffel and the Desire Street Ministry will host the Good Times and Jazz Festival on Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the Back Lot at Full Sail University, 351 University Park Drive in Winter Park.
Desire Street Ministry is a national organization that encourages and equips leaders to transform impoverished neighborhoods into desirable places through spiritual and community development projects.
"We'll be bringing a little bit of New Orleans' food and fun to Orlando and, hopefully, we'll have an inspiring and encouraging night for the whole family," said Wuerffel.
One of the organizers of Good Times and Jazz Festival, John Crossman, president of Crossman & Company commercial real estate brokers, said the evening event will offer great food and fun.
"We're serving delicious Jambalaya and Creole dinners and organizing plenty of adult-supervised activities for kids," said Crossman, "and we'll be serving up great jazz all evening long."
Tickets to the Christian-themed fundraising event are $50 each or $500 for tables of 10, Crossman said, and the event is still looking for corporate sponsors.
A $5,000 Gold sponsorship includes four tables---that's seating for 40 people---with lots of play for the sponsor's name in the Keynote PowerPoint address, the dinner program and a live announcement during dinner, plus four framed and autographed photos with Danny Wuerffel and four footballs autographed by the former standout.
