Helene J. Blomfield Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Creativity

Helene Blomfield has gained an impressive 43 years of experience in the field of floristry and subsequently photography. After being involved in the local tourism industry, she decided to pursue a career where she could integrate her passion for photography and the New Zealand landscape and culture. She yearned to share this with both locals and visitors, so New Zealand in a Frame was born. As creative director of NZ in a Frame, Helene expertly captures shots of different locales and cultural designs. She combines original photographs of the country's landscape, flora and fauna with a variety of inserts, with their specific cultural meanings. She then markets and sells her work at select galleries and retail shops.

The frames come in all sizes, and mainly in black, brown or native Rimu. In addition, Helene uses New Zealand-themed carvings in bone, Paua, greenstone and metal, she also weaves flowers and fish in native flax. Customers enjoy her creations, which are enhanced by their special meanings. She goes above and beyond to provide customers with exemplary service, including personalized items. If you have a special photo that you would like to use as background in a picture, that can be done. In a nutshell, she loves what she does so much that she never wants to retire. Helene attributes her success to her passion for working with New Zealand landscapes and flowers.

Helene Blomfield received a Bachelor of Arts in French, English and horticulture from Massey University. She holds a diploma in teaching English as a Foreign Language, which she completed by correspondence from the UK. She holds a certificate in English for speakers of other languages, which she gained in New Zealand. She also has a certificate in adult learning. Helene Blomfield is a member of Estuary Arts, the Depot Art Gallery, The Elephant House in Parnell, NZ, Alliance Française du North Shore, and is a WWOOF Host on her farm. She volunteers her time to the Cancer Society of New Zealand, as well as a fundraiser for her local breast cancer organization.
