Cambridge Who’s Who
- Colorado Springs, CO, September 7, 2008, Helene M. Couchon, President of Beacon of Hope Counseling, Inc., has been recognized by
Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of counseling.
With several years of professional experience working with people suffering from depression, anxiety, divorce and annulment, grief and loss, Ms. Couchon is responsible for organizing a group of counselors involved in life coaching program, counseling and family therapy. She specializes in solving women's issues and considers making a difference in the lives of patients suffering from personality disorders to be the most rewarding aspect of her career.
A 2008 nominee for an Outstanding Student Award for developing a counseling program, Ms. Couchon attributes her success to her determination and her desire to learn. She does public speaking on psycho educational services and feels that insurance reimbursement which requires a breach in confidentiality to be the most important issue facing her profession today.
Ms. Couchon received her Master's Degree in Counseling from Regis University and her Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts. She serves as a president of the Regis University Alumni Counseling Association and is affiliated with the Colorado Association of Psychotherapists, Alpha Sigma Nu, Chi Sigma Iota and the American Counseling Association. She stays current with the trends in her profession by attending workshops and reading industry-related publication. She is currently enrolled in a Master's Level Certificate program for Marriage and Family Therapy and hopes to obtain her doctorate degree and expand her business.
