WASHINGTON, DCFebruary 08, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Hello-Hello, an innovative startup firm that develops mobile apps to help people learn new languages for their educational, business and travel needs, announced today the release of 11 language courses for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet PC.

The release of these apps further extends Hello-Hello's leadership for language learning content on mobile devices such as the PlayBook, said Sarah Gontijo, Hello-Hello's founder and CEO. Hello-Hello combines language learning with a social networking component, which allows someone learning a language such as Spanish to communicate with native speakers as well as fellow students who are learning the language.

"The release of Hello-Hello World for PlayBook is the latest sign that we are committed to providing our proven language learning model across as many mobile platforms as possible," Gontijo said. Earlier this year, the company launched the world's first language learning app to integrate social networking with language learning- Hello-Hello World - for the iPad2 as well as apps for the Kindle Fire e-reader.

The Hello-Hello apps for the PlayBook will allow people to develop a solid foundation of conversational skills for languages such as English, Spanish, French, and Mandarin Chinese, Gontijo said. PlayBook owners can download the app here "When people are comfortable hearing every day conversations in a foreign language, it makes it easier to retain this information to use in real-world situations," Gontijo said.

These apps rely on a research-based methodology that uses dialogues based on realistic situations that business people, travelers, or other consumers will find useful to help them be comfortable with their target language, Gontijo said. Hello-Hello's content was developed in collaboration with the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL). The organization is the world's largest and most respected organization for language teachers and professionals.
