Herman Max Leibowitz, Esq. Celebrates More than 35 Years of Professional Excellence

Mr. Leibowitz just completed his tenth consecutive year as a Judge at the Yale Mock Trial Tournament.

For more than 35 years, Herman Max Leibowitz has maintained his law practice in Manhattan in the fields of Wills, Trusts, and Estates. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1975, the New York Bar in 1976, and the US Supreme Court in 1982.

A proud graduate of the New York City public school system, Herman Max Leibowitz received his BS degree in English & American Literature from the City College of New York (CCNY) in 1972. He received his JD degree from Rutgers University Law School in 1975, where he was a member of the Law Review, Senior Class President, and Commencement Day Speaker. Mr. Leibowitz is certified by the NYS Supreme Court as an Article 81 Court Evaluator and Guardian. From 2008 to the present, Herman Max Leibowitz has served as a Judge at the Yale Mock Trial Tournament, held each year in New Haven, CT.

A career highlight for Herman Max Leibowitz was his successful oral argument and verdict in the US Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, case of Cia. Naviera Financiera Aries, S.A. v. 50 Sutton Place South Owners, Inc., Index No. 12-0904-cv (2012), ruling that a Greek shipping magnate could not transfer ownership of a co-op apartment without prior co-op board approval.

Herman Max Leibowitz is a prolific public speaker, and has presented numerous continuing legal education (CLE) seminars for other attorneys through the National Business Institute (NBI).
